We are activist musicians and artists who come together for one shared purpose: bringing music, art, and spectacle to protests, rallies, marches, and actions in support of progressive causes. This is an evolving statement of our principles.
- We believe in using music to help fuel social change, have fun, and build community.
- We welcome everyone of all musical abilities to join us. Whether you are an experienced musician or have never played an instrument, you can be in this band.
- We are non-partisan. We welcome people with diverse political beliefs under a big tent of progressivism grounded in human rights, social justice, and solidarity.
- Any member can propose a gig. Members are free to attend or not attend any action.
- We ask for input from all members when making decisions. We have no formal leaders – any member is free to take on leadership roles matching their abilities, interests, and available time.
