We are LA BAMBA, so of course we have to play La Bamba! Richie Valens (from LA) made this traditional Mexican folk song a hit in the 1950s, and Los Lobos (from LA) made it a hit in 1987. And we love the version Las Cafeteras (from LA) released in 2012.
More recently, La Bamba made the national news in 2017 as a new protest song. Our fabulous member Zach arranged our version specially for us.
